Joan O. Siman's Obituary
Joan O. Siman (nee Olton), age 70 of Mantua, passed away peacefully, Saturday, July 8, 2023 at UH Geauga Medical Center. Joan was born September 17, 1952 in Ravenna, Ohio and graduated from Aurora High School. She went on to earn an Associate's Degree in Applied Sciences from Lakeland College. She met her beloved husband John A. Siman and they married in 1982.
Joan was an avid animal lover and enjoyed reading, cross-stitching and scrapbooking. She was very passionate about the Crestwood 4 C's Emergency Food Cupboard where she volunteered for 30 years. Joan also loved the time she spent with her husband John, flying his Ultralight Power Parachute Plane. She was an active member of the Mantua Center Christian Church.
Joan was preceded in death by her parents, Frank Olton and Natalie Olton (Shettle). She is survived by her beloved husband John of 41 years, daughter Jennifer Siman, step children John Siman and Kelly Siman, step granddaughter Olivia; sisters Susie Raufman (Allen), her twin sister Gail Wolff and sister Lee Keller (Bill), and mother-in-law Jerri Siman (the late John).
A memorial service will be held at The Mantua Center Christian Church at a later date.
