MANTUA
Joel T. Kulish, Sr., 52 years of age, passed away Friday August 7, 2020 following a period of failing health. Born in Bedford, Ohio on May 22, 1968, he was the son of Joseph A. and Jeanette (Stepic) Kulish, Sr. Joel was a lifetime area resident, and a graduate of Crestwood High School and Maplewood Career Center in 1986. He had been employed at Solon Sand & Gravel for many years, following which he was presently employed as a loader at Oscar Brugmann Sand & Gravel. Joel loved the outdoors including fishing, hunting, and on his pontoon boat at Brugmann’s. Joel found great pleasure working on cars and tractors and his skills were second to none. He will always be remembered as his “Own Unique Man”, and his heart of gold was there to help anyone, at anytime. Joel, we will all miss you! He is survived by his son Joel (Elizabeth) Kulish, Jr. of Charlotte, N.C., his mother Jeanette Kulish of Mantua; siblings Jennifer (Thomas) Tropf, Joseph A. Kulish, Jr. both of Mantua, and Jackie (Eric) Nuber of Streetsboro; grandchildren Kira and Elan; nieces Samantha, Audrey, Kelsey, Kaitlyn, Emily and Jessica; nephew Andy; and special friends Keith and Dawn. Joel was preceded by death his brother Jamie C. Kulish in 1988, and his father Joseph A. Kulish, Sr. in 1997. Visitation will be Wednesday August 12, 2020 at the Green Family Funeral Home & Crematory Service, 4668 Pioneer Trail at the corner of St. Rt. 44, Mantua, Ohio 44255 from 10:00 A.M.-11:00 A.M., where his funeral service will begin at 11:00 A.M. Face masks and social distancing will be observed, and a limited number of people will be permitted for the funeral service. For those who are unable to attend the funeral service, the procession to the cemetery will form at the funeral home at 10:45 A.M. Officiating will be Rev. Edward Stafford of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church. Final resting place will then follow at Westlawn Cemetery, Mantua Township, Ohio.
