John N. Bierer's Obituary
WINDHAMJohn N. Bierer, 74 years of age, passed away Thursday August 20, 2015 at his residence in Windham. Born in Bullskin, Pennsylvania on August 20, 1941, he was the son of the late Daniel R. and Mary B. (Momeyer) Bierer. Formerly of Pennsylvania, John had resided in the Windham area since 1986.John had been employed as a welder at Fruehauf Corporation in Uniontown, Pennsylvania for 20 years. A member of the Windham United Methodist Church, John was an avid supporter and fan of the Windham Softball Teams, and enjoyed watching his children participate in local sporting functions. He also was a true fan of the Cleveland Indians and Pittsburgh Steelers, took great pride in keeping his yard looking "Top Notch", and enjoyed socializing, swimming and dancing during his life. On November 26, 1982, he married Robin S. (Johnson) Bierer who survives at their home. Also surviving are his children Lisa (Bob) Angelo of Connellsville, Pennsylvania, Tanya Bierer and Carly (Bill Smith) Bierer both of Windham, his brother Daniel (Patty) Bierer , sisters Bonnie (Rich) Sabota, Debbie DeRosa and Candy Bierer all of Pennsylvania, 7 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. No calling hours. Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of His Life Memorial Service will be held Monday August 24, 2015, 5:00 P.M. at the Windham United Church with Pastor Katherine Thomas and Pastor Ruth Roth officiating. Arrangements are by the Green Family Funeral Home & Crematory Service in Mantua.
