John Patrick Holtz's Obituary
AUBURN TWP. John Patrick "J.P." Holtz, Sr., 79 years of age, passed away Wednesday April 13, 2016 in Aurora, Ohio. Born in Ashville, Pennsylvania on March 17, 1937, he was the son of the late Ireneus and Martha (Conrad) Holtz. A resident of Auburn Township since 1989, he had been employed at Ford Motor Company, Walton Hills Division as a Tool & Die Maker, and as a Trainer for Quality Improvement of UAW # 420, retiring in 2001. J.P. took great pride in sharing his knowledge and instruction abilities with others while representing the UAW. An avid NASCAR fan, he also enjoyed folk and country music. On December 3, 1956, he married Mary (Soos) Holtz who survives at their home. Also surviving are his daughters Kat Holtz of Kent, Ohio and Cindy (Mark Karabec) Holtz of Auburn Township; his sister Patricia (Clair) Dunegan of Twinsburg, Ohio and his granddaughter Sarah Verity of Kent. He was preceded in death in 2007 by his son John Patrick Holtz, Jr. Cremation has been held. Memorial visitation will be held Sunday April 17, 2016 from 2:00 P.M.-4:00 P.M. at the Green Family Funeral Home & Crematory Service 4668 Pioneer Trail at the corner of St.Rt. 44, Mantua, Ohio 44255. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to your local food pantry.
