MANTUA John W. Hucik, 85, of Mantua, and formerly of Maple Hts., became Our Gift to God on Thursday November 5, 2009. Beloved husband to Dorothy (Schultz) for 61 years. Dear father of David (Deb), Kathryn Fudella (John), Diane Locktish (Frank) and Tom (Loretta). Grandfather of Laura (Tim), Johnny, Kristin, Kevin, Dylan, and Rianna, Brother of Anne Tupta, Dorothy Pawlicki, and the late Edward Hucik and Rita Hucik. Mr. Hucik was God's Gift to Us, born in Cleveland, Ohio, the son of the late Joseph and Anna (Panek) Hucik. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II. An avid collector, he also truly enjoyed the outdoors and appreciated the beauty of nature as it was seen through his eyes. Mr. Hucik will most be remembered for his loving treatment to all who he met and the love he gave to his family. Calling hours will be Sunday from 1:00 P.M.-4:00 P.M. at the Green Family Funeral Home & Crematory Service in Mantua, where funeral services will be held Monday November 9, 2009 at 11:00 A.M. Mr. Hucik will be laid to rest at Westlawn Cemetery in Mantua Township, where U.S. Navy military honors will be observed. Memorials are suggested to a charity of the donor's choice.
