John David Lesnak Sr's Obituary
John David Lesnak, Sr. passed away peacefully in his home on December 2, 2024,
surrounded by family. Known by friends and family as "Dave", he was born September
20, 1943, to John and Helen (Kramer) Lesnak. He is survived by his life partner,
Jacquelyn Luzader, her son Phillip; children Diane (Richard) Robinson, Rene (Mike)
Simmons, John (Kayce) Lesnak, Jr., Melissa (Patrick) Isenberg, ten grandchildren and
six great-grandchildren, his brother Dennis (Linda) Lesnak, sister-in-law Edie Lesnak
and numerous nieces and nephews. Dave was preceded in death by his brother,
George Lesnak, and sister, Joyce Nickol.
Dave was an avid boater and golfer. He could be found several days a week on the golf
course or on the lake boating and fishing every chance he could get. Dave's life work
was auto body repair and restoration which he began at the age of 17. Throughout his
career, he completed countless vintage vehicle restorations and customizations of
vehicles ranging from as early as the 1920's to current makes and models. He became
highly sought after as a master of vehicle restoration, receiving several awards at car
shows around the state.
Dave will be greatly missed by his immediate and extended family, as well as, life-long
friends and those with whom he enjoyed swapping stories, going on golf outing
weekends or boat trips across the Great Lakes.
The family wishes to thank the Surgical ICU team at University Hospital Cleveland and
Hospice of the Western Reserve for their compassion and excellent care provided to
Dave in his final days.
A celebration of life to honor Dave's memory will be held at a later date. The family
