John “Joe” Blazek, III, 62 years of age, passed away unexpectedly Friday, September 10, 2021 at his residence. Born on August 17, 1959 in East Cleveland, Ohio, he was the son of the late John “Buck” and Delores Jean (Burns) Blazek. A lifetime resident of Hiram, Joe had been the owner-operator of the Family Business, Blazek Pump & Well. He had been Past President of Ohio Water Well Association. Joe had many interests including Shooting Competitively and Gun Smiting. Playing in bands with Jake & The Mowats, Blues Brother Review were included in his love of music. He also enjoyed restoring Mustang Cars, riding motorcycles, talking with friends and family, especially around the Bon Fire. He took great pride in watching his sons in their sports and music, and spending time with his grandchildren. Wherever you would meet Joe, he always had a welcoming smile, and time to talk with friends…no one was a stranger to him. On October 17, 1981, he married his beloved wife Barb (Jones) Blazek who survives at their home. Also surviving are his devoted sons, Joshua (Melissa) Blazek of Mentor, Fred Blazek of Hiram, and Andy (Carrie) Blazek of Kent. His loving grandchildren, MacKenzie, Mason, and Leah also survive. Calling hours will be Wednesday, September 15, 2021 at the Green Family Funeral Home & Crematory Service, 4668 Pioneer Trail at the corner of St. Rt. 44, Mantua, Ohio 44255, from 5:00 P.M.-7:00 P.M. Funeral services will be Thursday, September 16, 2021, 11:00 A.M. at the funeral home with Rev. Jeff Jackson, and Mr. Rick Kalich officiating.
