Joseph R. Imars' Obituary
Joseph R. Imars, age 70 of Hiram, passed away Sunday, October 29, 2023 after a lengthy illness, at University Hospitals Medical Center in Cleveland. Born March 27, 1953 in Bedford, Ohio to the late Joseph M. and Hazel (Allen) Imars. Joe graduated from Crestwood High School in 1971. He was well known as "Smokin Joe", the owner of Fabrication Specialties and also was a contractor, working with various companies.
"Smokin Joe" also followed him as he competed Pro Stock Pulling with "Born to Run", the Black John Deere. Joe loved camping with his family for 20+ years. He loved the outdoors and spending time with his family.
Joe was a devoted father and husband, and cherished being Grandpa to his granddaughter, Carter Jade. Along with his granddaughter, Joe also leaves behind his wife of 41 years, Debbie (Smolak) Imars, a son, Cody (Alexis) of Macedonia, and a sister, Laura Cartwright of Edinburg.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to The Hiram Fire Fighters Association, 11617 Garfield Rd., Hiram, Ohio 44234
