Josephine E. Knautz's Obituary
NEWBURY Josephine E. Knautz 67 years of age, passed away Friday June 4, 2010 at University Hospitals Geauga Medical Center in Claridon Township. Born on October 3, 1942 in Cleveland, Ohio she was the daughter of the late John and Helen (Ludt) Demko. A homemaker, Mrs. Knautz was a resident of Newbury the past 36 years. Mrs. Knautz was a member of Jehovah's Witnesses Chardon Congregation. She enjoyed horseback riding, gardening, baking and taking detailed care of her lawn. She will always be remembered for her great attitude, always being there for others and her ability to like and enjoy all with whom she came to know and for her love and showing to her family how proud she was of them. For many years she was an active member of The Ohio Wagon Train Association. On July 29, 1961 she married Joseph P. Knautz, 3rd. who survives at their home. Also surviving are her children Joseph P. (Kim) Knautz, 4th. and Rebekah Knautz both of Newbury; her brothers Sheldon Demko of Painesville, Ohio, Tony Demko of Brooklyn, Ohio and Mark Demko of Parma Hts., Ohio. Mrs. Kauntz also is survived by her loving grandchildren Joseph, 5th. Jessica, Shelby, Hayley and Connor. Calling hours will be Wednesday June 9, 2010 from 5:00 P.M.-7:00 P.M. at the Green Family Funeral Home & Crematory Service, State Rt. 44 at the corner of Pioneer Trail (1 mile south of Rt. 82) Mantua, where Elder Ted Schienke will officiate at her funeral service at 7:00 P.M.
