SHALERSVILLE
Josephine Rizzo, 79 years of age, became Our Gift to God on Wednesday, June 9, 2021 at Aurora, Ohio. Josephine was God’s Gift to Us on August 18, 1941 in Cleveland, Ohio, the daughter of the late Joseph and Nicoline (Trimarco) Rizzo. She grew up in Cleveland where she as a member of St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church in Slavic Village. Josephine cherished her Italian heritage, as well as her Catholic devotion, and upon moving to Shalersville in 1980, she became a member of St. Joseph’sCatholic Church in Mantua. A homemaker, she enjoyed reading and crocheting, and lived her life caring for Bobby with all of her love. Survivors include her son Robert Rizzo of Shalersville, her siblings Sister Theresa Rizzo of Dayton, Maryann Forseca of Shalersville, nieces Tina Jira of Twinsburg, Maxine Bish of Ravenna, Terrie Fonseca of Garrettsville, nephews Mario Fonseca of Freedom Township, and Ronald Fonseca of Florida. Her brother Frank Rizzo preceded her in death. Visitation will be Monday June 21, 2021 from 9:00 A.M.-9:30 A.M. at the Green Family Funeral Home & Crematory Service, 4668 Pioneer Trail at the corner of St. Rt. 44, Mantua, Ohio 44255. A graveside funeral service will then be held at Riverside Cemetery, Shalersville Township, Ohio at 10:00 A.M. with Rev. Edward Stafford officiating.
