Julia R. Bargas' Obituary
MIDDLEFIELDJulia R. Bargas, 96 years of age, passed away Monday January 23, 2012 at Anna Maria of Aurora. Born in Springfield, Illinois on August 14, 1915, she was the daughter of the late Trinidad and Marie (Jacobs) Lopez. A homemaker, Mrs. Bargas was a resident of Middlefield the past 20 years, formerly living in North Canton. During World War II she was employed at Goodyear Aircraft in Akron, Ohio where she was known as "Rosie The Riveter". Mrs. Bargas was a member of The United Methodist Church in Middlefield. On May 30, 1930, she married John Bargas who preceded her in death in 1992. Also preceding her were brothers Frank "Pope" Lopez, Jack Lopez, sister Carmen " Mellie" Nerrvo and her son-in-law Earl Kulgoske on December 8,2010. Survivors include her children Michael (Brian Bethune) of Cleveland and Carmen Kulgoske of Auburn Township and her grandchildren Carmen and Julian Bargas. Funeral services for Mrs. Bargas will be Friday January 27, 2012 11:00 A.M. at the Green Family Funeral Home & Crematory Service in Mantua with Fr. Chris McCann officiating. Visitation will be from 10:00 A.M. until the time of service. Mrs. Bargas will then be laid to rest at Sunset Hills Burial Park in North Canton.
