June M. Pfleger's Obituary
June M. Pfleger, 87 years of age, passed away Saturday September 10, 2011 at Aurora Manor in Aurora, Ohio. Born on January 22, 1924 in Cleveland, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late John F. and Mary (Blake) Kraus. A resident of Garrettsville the past 18 years, she formerly was a longtime Troy Township resident where she was involved in numerous community service organizations and activities. Mrs. Pfleger formerly was employed at the F.W. Woolworth Company in Chagrin Falls, then at the Cleveland Trust Chagrin Falls office for 16 years as head teller, retiring in 1984. She enjoyed traveling both in the United States and Europe, yet her greatest love were the times she spent with her devoted family. On October 7, 1942, she married Louis F. Pfleger who preceded her in death in 1963. Also preceding her was one son David A. in 1975 and two brothers John and Russell Kraus. Survivors include her children Barbara (Raymond) Myers, Jocelyn (Christopher) McGurer and James B. (Susan) Pfleger all of Garrettsville, Louis D. (Ann) Pfleger of Florida, Robert J. (Debbie) Pfleger of Williamsfield and Christopher (Kimberly) Pfleger of Mogadore, her brother Wallace (Pat) Kraus of North Royalton and 19 grandchildren and 30 great-grandchildren. A Memorial Service for Mrs. Pfleger will be held Saturday September 17, 2011 at 10:00 A.M. at the Green Family Funeral Home & Crematory Service in Mantua with visitation Saturday from 9:30 A.M. until service time. She is being laid to rest at Troy Township Cemetery with a private family burial.
