Kenneth J. Chamberlin's Obituary
HUNTSBURG TWP.Kenneth J. Chamberlin, 89 years of age, passed away Tuesday March 2, 2010 at Blossom Hill Care Center in Huntsburg, Ohio Born on November 24, 1920 in Newark, New Jersey: he was the son of the late Louis W. and Marie (Fuller) Chamberlin. Mr. Chamberlin was a longtime resident of New Jersey, following which he resided in Ocala, Florida from 1987-2009, moving to Huntsburg in 2009. He was a World War II Veteran serving in both the U.S. Coast Guard and the U.S. Navy. Mr. Chamberlin was employed by the U.S. Civil Service Commission at Ft. Monmouth in New Jersey where his worked included Atomic Research; retiring in 1970.Mr. Chamberlin was an avid golfer and enjoyed bicycling with his wife Betty also as a pastime. On December 22, 1978, he married the former Betty Jane (Erickson) Kirtley who survives at their home in Huntsburg. Also surviving are his sons Joseph (Darlene) Zenisek and Michael Zenisek both of Troy Twp.; his daughters Neva (John) Cummings of Eatontown, N.J., Karen (Rich) Ardolino of West Long Branch, N.J. and Linda (Dennis) Schreckengost of Troy Twp., 14 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his brothers Eugene and Robert and sister Elmira. Funeral services will be Saturday March 6, 2010 at 11:00 A.M. at the Green Family funeral Home & Crematory Service in Mantua, where visitation will be from 10:00 A.M. until the time of services. Military honors will be provided by the U.S. Navy and the Mantua American Legion. Final resting place will be private.
