Aunt Laura was truly a light—she loved everyone like her own and was a trusted adult in the chaos of high school. Her door was always open and if you walked in the front door, you’d always hear her call out from her chair to greet you and to collect a hug. Hugs to you all!

When Wendell was banned from the school, Laura came up to me at a football game and pointed across the field to him sitting on the visitor side so he could be there to watch our marching band halftime performance. They were thick as thieves and I was so grateful for your mom for being the messenger. Luckily since they BOTH had the audacity to die I can bring this up without risking any police involvement HA
