Leone E. Krohn's Obituary
MANTUA - Leone E. Krohn, 97 years of age, passed away Sunday November 28,2010 at Holly Hill Nursing Home in Newbury Township. Mrs. Krohn was born on January 21, 1913 in Chicago, Illinois the daughter of the late Arthur and Edna (Messenger) Seeley.A lifetime Mantua resident, Mrs. Krohn was employed for many years as secretary for Crestwood Schools. A member of the Mantua Center Christian Church for over 50 years, she was their well respected church organist. In addition, she was a member of the Order of Eastern Star, Mantua Grange and a 4-H leader. Mrs. Krohn enjoyed baking wedding cakes and pie baking. Survivors include her son Gil (Vicki) Krohn of Mantua; daughters Kay (Russ) Hurd of Burton and Bonnie (Stephen) Savel of Strongsville and 8 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Theodore Krohn in 1983, 1 son Richard Krohn and 2 brothers and 2 sisters. No calling hours. A private burial at Westlawn Cemetery in Mantua Township has been held. A Memorial Service for Mrs. Krohn will be held Sunday December 5, 2010, 7:00 P.M. at the Mantua Center Christian Church with Rev. Chad Delaney officiating. A time of visitation with the family will precede the memorial service from 6:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the church. Arrangements are by the Green Family Funeral Home & Crematory Service in Mantua.
