Lillian J. Gieseler's Obituary
HIRAMLillian J. Gieseler, 77 years of age, became Our Gift to God on Wednesday November 16, 2011 at Robinson Memorial Hospital in Ravenna, Ohio. Lillian was God's Gift to Us on December 23, 1933 in Wyandotte, Michigan. A homemaker and resident of Hiram the past 20 years, she formerly made her home in Aurora for many years, and was employed by at the Aurora Pharmacy . A member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church for over 50 years, Mrs. Gieseler was active in the Alter & Rosary Society and the Spirited Senior Group of her parish. She enjoyed gardening and bird watching, yet will be most remembered as a devoted Christian whose faith in God and love of family , especially her grandchildren, and her kind words for everyone whose paths she crossed, will forever be the legacy that she leaves to those who mourn her passing.In 1952, she married Herbert Gieseler who preceded her in death in 2000, as did her son Fred Gieseler in 1991 , her daughter Cecelia "Cindy" Berg in 2011 and 2 brothers Siggy and Eddie. Survivors include her children Herbert (Marie) Gieseler,Jr. of Aurora and JoAnn (Ron) Overberger of Mantua, brother Harold (Marge) Roskoski of Michigan, daughter-in-law Lisa Gieseler of Akron, 5 grandchildren Bobbi, Erin, Becca, David and Laura, and 3 great-grandchildren Abagayle, Jameson and Wyatt. No calling hours. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday November 22, 2011 7:30 P.M. at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in Aurora with Rev. Fr. James Daprile officiating. Private family burial.In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Robinson Visiting Nurse & Hospice, 6847 N. Chestnut St.,Ravenna, Ohio 44266.Arrangements are by the Green Family Funeral Home & Crematory Service in Mantua.
