Lillian K. Papiska's Obituary
GARRETTSVILLE - Lillian K. Papiska, 99 years of age of Garrettsville, passed away Monday December 21, 2009 at her residence. Born on October 23, 1910 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of the late Martin and Anna Kucharek. Mrs. Papiska was a resident of the Garrettsville area since 1937. A homemaker, she enjoyed crocheting, the numerous trips that she took with her family and cooking for her family their favorite dishes. Survivors include her children John M. Papiska, Harold R. Papiska and Mary Ann (Darwin) Leggett all of Garrettsville; 5 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and 8 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband John S. in 1962, 1 great-grandchild, 1 great-great-grandchild; her sisters Mary Sharlek and Anna Grandillo and brother Martin Kucharek. Calling hours will be Monday December 28, 2009 from 6:00-8:00 P.M. at the Green Family Funeral Home & Crematory Service in Mantua, where her funeral service will be held Tuesday December 29, 2009 at 10:00 A.M. with Rev. Steve Mortach of the Edinburg United Church of Christ officiating. Mrs. Papiska will be laid to rest beside her husband John S. Papiska at Park Cemetery in Garrettsville. Donations in her name are suggested to the Kevin Coleman Foundation.
