Lillian Stutzman's Obituary
Lillian A. Stutzman, 84 years of age, passed away Tuesday April 3, 2012 at Cleveland Clinic-Twinsburg, Ohio. Born in Cleveland, Ohio on September 11, 1927, she was the daughter of the late Steve and Irma (May) Hampton. From 1950-1960, Mrs. Stutzman was employed as a waitress at the Aurora Inn, and from 1958-1994 she was the owner-operator with her husband of Meadowview Stables in Aurora assuming the position of manager. Mrs. Stutzman always worked side-by-side with all of the staff at the stables, and will be remembered for the many times that she would recommend to other businesses the good qualities of their staff with the intention of assisting them in seeking and obtaining employment to further their ambitions. She will also be remembered for her unselfishness in helping others in all walks of life. A lifetime resident of Aurora, she was a former member of the Aurora United Methodist Church. On February 11, 1944, she married Carl A. Stutzman who survives at their home. Also surviving is her son Dennis A. (Pat) Stutzman of Rootstown, her sister May Hampton of Aurora, two grandchildren Sandra Robinson and Laura Stutzman and three great-grandchildren Adriana Stutzman, Sara Robinson and Shania Robinson all of Florida. She was preceded in death by her siblings Earl and Robert Hampton, Bernice Fable, Irene Wrye and June Childs. Funeral services will be Monday April 9, 2012 at the Green Family Funeral Home & Crematory Service in Mantua, where calling hours will be from 11:00 A.M. until the time of her funeral services at 12:00 Noon. Pastor Jody R. Hill will officiate at her services, with final resting place to follow at Hillside Cemetery in Mantua Village.
