Linda R. Campbell's Obituary
SHALERSVILLE Linda R. Campbell, 74 years of age, became Our Gift to God on Tuesday January 10, 2017 at University Hospital-Portage Medical Center in Ravenna, Ohio. Born on June 20, 1942 in Arnett, West Virginia, she was the daughter of the late Birdie and Georgia (Combs) Honaker. Linda was a homemaker who had resided in the Shalersville area the past 52 years, formerly living in West Virginia. An avid reader, she also enjoyed flowers and bird watching. She and her late husband Paul E. Campbell will be remembered for the cabin that they built in Southern Ohio as a get-away for their family, as family was so very important to Linda. Linda was ?Mom? to everyone, family and other friends, who will forever cherish the special love that she gave to all. On February 13, 1960, she married her beloved husband Paul E. Campbell who preceded her in death on January 24, 2015. Also preceding was her daughter Cynthia Mae ?Cindy? D?Alessio, grandson Jeremy D?Alessio, her step-father Benton Suratt, sister Margie Petty and brother Freddie Honaker. Linda is survived by her devoted children Paul H. (Sonya) Campbell, Belinda Paulette (David) Romo and Vanessa (Roger) Salisbury all of Shalersville; her dear siblings Annabelle (Wendell) Bowne of Shalersville and Geraldine Wagner and Dennis Honaker both of North Carolina, David, Alan, and Gary Honaker all of West Virginia; her loving grandchildren Sonya, Jonathon, Tasha, Jillian, MarQueta, Tara, Jordan, London, Mikayla and Austin, and great-grandchildren Lyric, Tristan, Desmond, Arianna, Alton, Prominence, Prestiege, Gianna, Daisy, Jackson and Cataleya, and son-in-law John D?Alessio of Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio. Calling hours will be Friday from 6:00 P.M.-8:00 P.M. at the Green Family Funeral Home & Crematory Service, 4668 Pioneer Trail at the corner of St. Rt. 44, Mantua, Ohio 44255, where her funeral service will be held on Saturday January 14, 2017 at 10:00 A.M. Officiating will be Pastor John Angle. Final resting place will follow at Riverside Cemetery in Shalersville with London Salisbury, Steve Workman, David Romo, Teon Goode, Andrew Ervin and Jamaal Ellis honored to serve as pallbearers.
