Linda J Leigh's Obituary
NEWBURY Linda J. Leigh, 74 years of age, passed away Thursday December 15, 2016 at her residence following an extended illness. Linda was born in Cleveland, Ohio on February 28, 1942, the daughter of the late Clifford M. and Katherine M. (Parsche) Bonner, Sr. Linda grew up in Auburn and was a 1960 graduate of Kenston High School, following which she attended Kent State University earning her Bachelor of Science in Education. She taught at the elementary school in the Cardinal School District, retiring in 2002, as well as teaching for a period of time in the Crestwood School District. Linda took special pride in her gardening skills, and also enjoyed bird watching. She will forever be remembered for her love of family, and their love for her. She was preceded in death by her husband Edward J. Leigh in 1983. Survivors include her son Brian (Jenny) Leigh of Aurora; daughters Susan (nee Clifford) Cheek and Sharon (nee Clifford) Pastor both of Newbury and Theresa (Steven) Gramuglia of Middlefield; brothers Clifford (Toni) Bonner, Jr. of Burton, David (Lisa) Bonner, Richard (Rae Lynn) Bonner and William (Christine) Bonner all of Mantua; sisters Carol (Peter) Clemens of Tennessee, Judy (Donald) Cullen and Patty (Lou) Duplago both of Newbury, Peggy (Robert) Smith of Florida and Kathy (John) Franks of Auburn. Her grandchildren Melissa, Sara and Joseph, and great-grandchild Jade also survive. No calling hours. A Celebration of Life Service will be Saturday January 7, 2017, 1:00 P.M. at the Newbury Community Church, 14916 Auburn Road, Newbury, Ohio 44065.
