Lois Moss' Obituary
NELSON TWP. Lois Nelma "Nel" Moss, 90 years of age, passed away Tuesday March 31, 2015 at Hilty Nursing Home in Pandora, Ohio. Born in Green Hill, West Virginia on October 6, 1924, she was the daughter of the late Harvey George and Della Leigh (Harper) Knicely, and the youngest child and only girl of her family. A resident of the Nelson Township-Garrettsville area since 1955, Mrs. Moss was a longtime, faithful member of the Nelson United Methodist Church, where for many years she was a youth group leader. She had been employed at Johnson Rubber Company for many years. Loved by both her family and friends, Mrs. Moss and her husband maintained a large garden for which they gave family members the fruits of their labors. On May 23, 1943, she married Harl Jay Moss who preceded her in death in 2003. Also preceding were two daughters Doris Jane Neer in 1987, Lois Jean Anthony in 2001, her brothers Delbert, Herbert and Glen Knicely and 2 great-granddaughters. She is survived by her children Robert (Vickie) Moss of Nelson Township, Mark (Patricia) Moss of Waco, Texas, 19 grandchildren, 35 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandsons, as well as many honorary great-grandchildren. Calling hours will be Friday at the Green Family Funeral Home & Crematory Service, 4668 Pioneer Trail at the Corner of St.Rt. 44, Mantua, Ohio 44255 from 5:00 P.M.-8:00 P.M., and on Saturday April 4, 2015 from 10:00 A.M. until the time of her funeral service at 11:00 A.M. Officiating will be Pastor Rick Hughes. Final resting place will follow at Harrington Cemetery in Nelson Township, Ohio. A time of fellowship for family and friends at Covenant Bible Church, 8146 High St., Garrettsville will immediately follow the cemetery service.
