Lois A. Walker's Obituary
HIRAM-STREETSBORO Lois A. Walker, 81 years of age, passed away Saturday June 25, 2016 at her residence. Born in Sodus, New York on September 19, 1934, she was the daughter of the late Warren and Garnet (Ingerson) Thayer. Formerly of Streetsboro and Mantua, Lois had resided in Hiram since 1012. Lois had been employed at Kennametal as a machine operator, retiring after 20 years of service. Spending time with her children, grandchildren and watching her favorite T.V. shows were her leisure time enjoyments. Survivors include her children Scott (Melissa) Walker of Little Elm, Texas, Andrea (Steve) Hazel of Hiram, Deborah Forrester and Bonnie Moore both of New York and Terrence Nolan of Pennsylvania; her siblings Clifford Thayer and Lewis Thayer both of New York and Irma Delyser. 9 grandchildren also survive. Preceding her in death were her sisters Virginia and Wilma, and 1 grandson. Funeral services for Lois will be held Wednesday June 29, 2016, 7:00 P.M. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 6049 Pioneer Trail, Hiram, Ohio 44234 with Bishop Tommy Aardema officiating. Visitation will take place at the church on Wednesday from 6:00 P.M. until service time. Private family burial will be held at Fairview Cemetery, Hiram, Ohio.
