Louie Odell Wilson's Obituary
MANTUA TWP. Louie Odell Wilson, 88 years of age, a resident of Mantua Township since 1967, passed away Friday September 4, 2009 at Kensington Care Center in Aurora. Mrs. Wilson was born on September 29, 1920 in Ritchie County, West Virginia the daughter of the late French and Cora (Richards) Frederick. Mrs. Wilson was a homemaker who enjoyed gardening, crocheting, playing the banjo which included playing and singing with her daughter "The Wilson Sisters" a gospel group of musicians. She was a longtime member of the Mantua Country Baptist Church where she was active with the Willing Worker's of her church. Survivors include her daughters Pat (Bruce) Besmen of Streetsboro, Shirley (Eric) Damon and Dolores "Dee" Carpenter both of Aurora, her sisters Gladys Duskey and Ellen Hardman both of West Virginia, 8 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Rev. James Earl Wilson in 2001, her daughters Olive Wilson in 1962 and Cora Sue Johnson in 2005 and her son-in-law Ralph Carpenter in 1996. Visitation will be Wednesday from 9:30 A.M.-10:30 A.M. at the Green Family Funeral Home & Crematory Service in Mantua. A graveside funeral service will follow at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday September 9, 2009 at Westlawn Cemetery in Mantua Township with the Pastor James Angle officiating. Acting as pallbearers will be Andrew Nichols, Scott Carpenter, Eric Besmen, Michael Nutter, Todd Wells and Joe Dye. Her obituary may be viewed online at www.greenfamilyfuneralhome.com .
