Lucille N. Tucker's Obituary
KENT Lucille N. Tucker, 90 years of age, passed away Friday January 8, 2016 at the home of her daughter in Kent, Ohio. Born on December 7, 1925 in Mina, New York, she was the daughter of the late Paul and Margaret (Tenbuckle) Persons. Formerly of Ravenna and Streetsboro, she had resided in Kent since 2011.Mrs. Tucker attended church regularly in Portage County, being active with her church choir, a Sunday School teacher and assisted in the church nursery. Presently, she attended Parkside Church, living a life of always giving of herself and to those in need. A very energetic lady who loved baking and gardening, she will forever be remembered by family and friends for her loving ways, and they are comforted in knowing that her soul is now with the Lord Jesus Christ. On November 7, 1946, she married Harold G. Tucker who preceded her in death in 2007. Survivors include her daughters Jane (Robert) Shumate of Kent and Brenda (Terry) Morris of Punta Gorda, Florida, her sister Alice Reynolds of Sherman, New York, grandchildren Tiffany Shumate and Dawn (Brian) Pekarek, and great-grandchildren Matt, Megan and Brielle. Calling hours will be Thursday from 4:00 P.M.-6:00 P.M. at the Green Family Funeral Home & Crematory Service, 4668 Pioneer Trail at the corner of St. Rt. 44, Mantua, Ohio 44255. Funeral services will be held Friday January 15, 2016 at 11:00 A.M. at Parkside Church, 7100 Pettibone Rd., Chagrin Falls, Ohio 44023 where visitation will also take place from 10:30 A.M. until service time. Final resting place will follow at Grandview Memorial Park, Ravenna.
