Lydia L. Klimo's Obituary
SHALERSVILLELydia L. Klimo, 54 years of age, passed away Friday December 16, 2011 at the Cleveland Clinic Hospital. Born in Cleveland, Ohio on October 26, 1957, she was the daughter of the late Andrew and Lydia G. (Nyiran) Marcin. Formerly of Cleveland, Mrs. Klimo was a resident of the Shalersville area for the past 30 years. She was a 1976 graduate of Willoughby South High School. The "Greatest Homemaker " and "Best Mother", Lydia was the founder of Klimoland which Disney World will never come close to reaching the standard of. Mrs. Klimo was formerly employed by the Portage County Library at the Streetsboro and Aurora branches. An avid Cleveland Indians fan, she was known to express her feelings about manager skills and operation of her favorite team. On July 16, 1977, she married James E. Klimo who survives at their home. Also surviving are her children James (Michele) Klimo of Mentor-on-the-Lake, Jason Klimo of Twinsburg, Melissa (Sean) Major of Willoughby and Rebecca (Ryan Livergood) Klimo of Mantua, her siblings Andrew (Lisa) Marcin of Michigan, John (Lori) Marcin of North Ridgeville, Kathy Woodard of Columbus, Ohio and Patricia Marcin of Concord Township, Ohio, her loving grandchildren Peyton and Madison and her sister-in-law Joy Marcin of Michigan, as well as several nieces, nephews and many loving other family members. She was preceded in death by her son Michael Klimo. Calling hours will be Tuesday from 2:00 P.M.-4:00 P.M. &6:00 P.M.-8:00 P.M. at the Green Family Funeral Home & Crematory Service in Mantua, where her funeral service will be held Wednesday December 21, 2011 at 10:00 A.M. with Rev. Michael Garvey officiating. Lydia will then be laid to rest at Riverside Cemetery in Shalersville Township.
