Margaret Peg Cofojohn's Obituary
MANTUA-SHALERSVILLEMargaret C. "Peg" Cofojohn, 87 years of age, passed away Tuesday December 15, 2015 at her residence. Born in Cleveland, Ohio on March 14, 1928, she was the daughter of the late William and Coletta (Hine) Hafemeister, Sr. A homemaker; Peg had been a resident of the Mantua-Shalersville area since 1951. She was a longtime faithful member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Mantua. Peg enjoyed playing Canasta, feeding the birds outside and was an avid animal lover. Family, Faith and Kids will forever be the cherished memories that Peg has left for those she loved so much. On June 19, 1948, she married Herbert Cofojohn who preceded her in death in 1979. Also preceding was her sister Marion Malloy. Survivors include her children Tom (Leslie) Cofojohn, Jim (Kathy) Cofojohn and Kenny (Tonya) Cofojohn all of Mantua, Marty Cofojohn of Ravenna, Dan (Kathy) Cofojohn of Palmyra, Linda (Len) Shoun of Kent, Cindy (Bob) Atkinson of Mantua and Connie (Doug) Heritage of Garrettsville, her brother William (Suzy) Hafemeister,Jr. of Mantua, 19 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, her nephew Mike Malloy, nieces Jennifer Bruce and Christina Haas, and her beloved "Buddy". Calling hours will be Friday from 4:00 P.M.-6:00 P.M. at the Green Family Funeral Home & Crematory Service, 4668 Pioneer Trail at the corner of St.Rt. 44, Mantua, Ohio 44255. Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday December 19, 2015, 11:00 A.M. at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Mantua with Rev. Edward Stafford officiating. (EVERYONE PLEASE MEET AT THE CHURCH).
