Obituary
MANTUA
Marianne Rose Berzinskas, 83 years of age of Mantua, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, November 11, 2022. Born in Cleveland, Ohio, on July 1, 1939, she was the daughter of the late Edward and Helen (Laszlo) Kalapos. Marianne was a faithful member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Mantua, where she was known to her fellow church choir members and many friends as “Ziggy”. She dedicated her time and artistic talent to her church, and her warm smile was always visible to all attendees at the church. Marianne was also a member of Master Singers Chorale of Northeast Ohio. She enjoyed gardening, nature, singing and traveling. Most of all the cherished memories that her grandkids whom she was known as “Gramcracker” to, will forever remain in their hearts. She will always be missed by her family and friends. Survivors include her children James (Annette) Berzinskas, Donna (Greg Wolfe) Berns, Dianne (Daniel) Brickman; brother Edward (Judy) Kane, sister Helen Rauscher; grand-children Jason, Nicole, Jillann, Alexa, Donny, Hannah, Haley, Heather and Hope. Additionally her great-grandchildren Kylie, Brent, Alexander, Jordan, Jensen, and many nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends also survive. Marianne was preceded in death by her husband Adam Berzinskas, brother Lawrence Kalapos and great-grandson Gunnar. Calling hours will be Friday, November 18, 2022 at The Green Family Funeral Home & Crematory Service, 4668 Pioneer Trail, at the corner of St. Rt. 44, Mantua, Ohio, 44255 from 4:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday, November 19, 2022, 11:00 A.M. at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, 11045 St. Joseph’s Blvd, Mantua, Ohio, 44255 with Reverend James Lang officiating (EVERYONE PLEASE MEET AT THE CHURCH).
