Marilyn A. Swansinger's Obituary
SOLONMarilyn A. Swansinger, 62 years of age of Solon, passed away Monday February 1, 2010 at St. Vincent Medical Center in Solon, Ohio. Marilyn was born in Cleveland, Ohio on March 20, 1947, the daughter of the late Alex and Mary (Szabo) Bognar, Jr. Formerly of Aurora, she had been a resident of Solon since 1977. Marilyn had been employed at Fashion Two Twenty in Aurora in the Inventory Processing Department, then at Geauga Lake in the Payroll and Accounting Department until her retirement. Marilyn raised professional show dogs, and was a very active member of the ACC, American Collie Club, Cleveland Branch, where she served in various capacities. She was a former member of Christ Lutheran Church in Mantua. Survivors include her brothers Ron ("Ronnie") Bognar of Kent and Gerry (Jelena) Bognar of Mantua; nieces Renae (Jeff) Riha of Rocky River, Denise (Michael McBride) Bognar of Ravenna and Diane Fletcher of Cuyahoga Falls; her nephew Joe (Diane) Bognar of Mantua and many other loving family members. Marilyn is also survived by her loving 4-legged children Eli and Inky. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Bill Swansinger in 2000. Visitation will be Friday from 6:00 P.M.-8:00 P.M. at the Green Family Funeral Home & Crematory Service in Mantua, where her funeral service will be held Saturday February 6, 2010 at 11:00 A.M. with Rev. Douglas Riley officiating. Marilyn will be laid to rest beside her cherished husband Bill at Roselawn Cemetery in Solon.
