Marion M. Weaver's Obituary
GARRETTSVILLE Marion Marie Weaver, 83 years of age, passed away Wednesday May 30, 2012 at Robinson Memorial Hospital in Ravenna, Ohio. Born in Shallmar, Maryland on April 8, 1929, she was the daughter of the late Henry D. and Elsie M. (Paugh) McKenzie. Formerly of Windham, Mrs. Weaver had been a Garrettsville area resident the past 14 years. A homemaker, she also had been employed as a waitress at Howard Johnsons on the Ohio Turnpike for several years. Playing cards, bingo and trips to Casino's were activities she enjoy taking part in. Survivors include her sons Kenneth (Sharon) Canan of Garrettsville and Doug (Kathy McGinnis) Canan of Terra Alta, West Virginia, her siblings Stephen Newhouse of Virginia, Mary Dell of Oregon and Rosalee Patterson and Margaret Brown both of Freedom Township, her grandchildren Chris (Stephanie), Jason, Stephen (Sarah), Michael (Shannon), Jennifer (Bill) and Mitchell (Amanda), and 11 great-grandchildren. Mrs. Weaver was preceded in death by her first husband Elwood Canan in 1972, her second husband Harold Weaver, her brothers Henry, Joseph and John, and sisters Lillian, Georgia and Cecila. No calling hours. A graveside funeral service will be held Monday June 4, 2012, 11:00 A.M. at Drakesburg Cemetery in Freedom Township where she will be laid to rest. Arrangements are by the Green Family Funeral Home & Crematory Service in Mantua.
