My heartfelt sympathy to Mark's wife Patty, his daughter Jessica, his parents Mr. & Mrs. Aurel Stan and to his brother Marty as well as Marty's wife Launa, and his children Fonda, Fauve, and Sandro Stan. I am so sorry for your loss. I will be praying for all of you.
I am so very sorry for your loss! Mark and I were hired together on work on high-temperature superconductors back in 1987. We also worked on the Mars Pathfinder program together in 1993-5. I found Mark to be an excellent scientist and collaborator. More importantly, Mark was a very good friend and a great guy! I enjoyed Mark's quirky sense of humor. We attended several Cavs' games together over the years. I have many great memories of being with Mark, I will certainly miss him. My fervent hope is for peace and tranquility for his family.
