AURORA
Mary B. DeWees, 88 years of age, became Our Gift to God on Friday March 13, 2020 at Twinsburg, Ohio. Mary was God’s Gift to Us on February 3, 1932 at Romance, West Virginia, the daughter of the late Carl and Gay (Skeen) Davis.She had been a resident of Aurora since 1959, and was formerly employed at Kroger Bakery in Solon for 20 years, retiring in 1987. Mary was an avid reader, but will forever be remember for the care and love she provided for her family. On June 20, 1948, she married her beloved husband William W. DeWees who preceded her in death on September 7, 2019. Also preceding were her siblings Carroll Davis and Maxine Kiser. She is survived by her devoted children Michael (Mona) DeWees of Washington, Pennsylvania, Mark DeWees of Aurora, and Deborah (Kenneth) Kinford of Aurora; her dear sisters Pauline Fisher of West Virginia and Madeline Casto of Brookpark, Ohio. 6 loving grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren also survive. We appreciate in this unknown time with the COVID-19 pandemic that attending a visitation or service may not be in your best health interest, yet please be with us in prayer and thoughts. Should you be able to help us celebrate her life, calling hours will be Tuesday March 17, 2020 at the Green Family Funeral Home & Crematory Service, 4668 Pioneer Trail at the corner of St.Rt. 44, Mantua, Ohio 44255 from 5:00 P.M.-7:00 P.M., where her funeral service will be held Wednesday March 18, 2020 at 11:00 A.M. Final resting place will then follow at Aurora City Cemetery.
