Mary Haylett's Obituary
MANTUA Mary Helen Haylett, 56 years of age of Mantua, My Wife, My Love My Best Friend, passed away Monday September 28, 2009 at home from a courageous and dignified four year battle with cancer. Mary was born on November 5, 1952 in Lakewood, Ohio the daughter of Albert and Florence (Misiak) Topeka. Mary and her husband David owned and operated Haylett's Corner Store & BP where Mary was the accountant and financial adviser for 27 years. Mary enjoyed working with children and animals; she spent much of her spare time as a volunteer at the Crestwood elementary schools and at the Portage County APL. Her out-going and energetic personality will be missed by all that knew her. She was preceded in death by her mother Florence Topeka. She is survived by her father Albert Topeka of Lakewood, Ohio, husband David A. Haylett, sons Ricky (Lisa) Haylett, Kelly (Jenny) Haylett and Shawn (Lisa) Haylett, two grandsons Trevor and Toby and two granddaughter Jewels and Kaytlin. In lieu of flowers the family asks that contributions be made to the Portage County APL in her name. A private Service and Celebration of Her Life for family and close friends will be scheduled at a later date. Arrangements are by the Green Family Funeral Home & Crematory Service in Mantua.
