Mary E. Krzys, 79 years of age, became Our Gift to God on Friday April 23, 2021. Mrs. Krzys was God’s Gift to Us on August 5, 1941 in Flint, Michigan, the daughter of the late James and Olive (Lavack) King. She was a graduate of Flint High School, and in 1994, Mary graduated from Hiram College with her BA in Sociology. Mrs. Krzys had been a Mantua resident since 1972, where she was a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church. From 1984-2005, Mrs. Krzys was employed as an Administrative Assistant at Hiram College until her retirement. An avid reader, she also enjoyed baking, sewing, decorating, and traveling to visit her family. Her grandchildren were very important, and the memories that they created with her will never be forgotten. On July 11, 1964, Mary married Richard J. Krzys who preceded her in death on February 19, 2018. Survivors include her children, Mark (Loretta) Krzys of Auburn Twp., Gregory (Jamie) Krzys of Bainbridge Twp., Jennifer (Jim) Hill of Boston, Mass., and Danielle (Dwayne) Vannoy of Troy Twp., siblings, James (Cheryl) King, June Adams and Vivian Smith, all of Fenton, Michigan. 7 grandchildren, and 2 great-grandchildren also survive. Calling hours will be Monday April 26, 2021, at the Green Family Funeral Home & Crematory Service, 4668 Pioneer Trail at the corner of St. Rt. 44, Mantua, Ohio 44255, from 5:00 P.M.-7:00 P.M., and Tuesday April 27, 2021 from 10:00 A.M.-10: 30 A.M., where closing prayers will take place. Mass of Christian Burial will then be held 11:00 A.M. at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church with Rev. Edward Stafford officiating. (Face Coverings and Social Distancing Will Be Observed At The Funeral Home And Church). Final resting place will be in Fenton, Michigan.
