Mary Ann Lottig's Obituary
MANTUA Mary Ann Lottig, 91 years of age, became Our Gift to God on Friday August 21, 2015 in Southington Township, Ohio. Mrs. Lottig was God's Gift to Us on June 3, 1924 in Maple Hts., Ohio, the daughter of the late James and Mary (Hokes) Prib.A resident of the Mantua area since 1950, Mrs. Lottig was a very active member of Christ Lutheran Church in Mantua, where she served as a Sunday School Teacher and assisted within her church in anyway called upon. A homemaker, she also had been employed for 15 years in the office at Mataline. Mrs. Lottig served her community in numerous ways that included assisting with the Portage County Blood Mobile, the 4'Cs, the Mantua Garden Club, and along with her late husband they visited area nursing homes to help brighten the days for the residents. She and her husband won the Senior Citizens Award for exceptional community service during their years of helping others. Married on June 28, 1947, they celebrated their thirty-fifth wedding anniversary by taking a bus trip to Jackson Hole, Wyoming as at the time of their marriage they started out on their honeymoon and had to return home. Family and friends will forever remember both Mrs. and Mr. Lottig for their love of each other, their church and community. Mrs. Lottig was preceded in death on November 27, 2010 by her beloved husband Clyde D. Lottig. Survivors include her devoted children Bruce (Virginia) Lottig of Southington, Brian (Diane) Lottig and Joanne (Larry) Quesenberry both of Mantua and Barbara (Patrick) Madigan of Queensland, Australia, and her 10 loving grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. Calling hours will be Tuesday 6:00 P.M.-8:00 P.M. at the Green Family Funeral Home & Crematory Service, 4668 Pioneer Trail at the corner of St.Rt. 44, Mantua, Ohio 44255. Funeral services for Mrs. Lottig will be Wednesday August 26, 2015, 11:00 A.M. at Christ Lutheran Church 10827 St.Rt. 44, Mantua Ohio 44255 with Pastor Douglas Riley, Pastor Emeritus officiating. Final resting place will follow at Westlawn Cemetery in Mantua Township, Ohio.
