Mary Stone's Obituary
RAVENNA Mary K. Stone, 88 years of age, passed away Wednesday February 2, 2011 at Briar Hill Nursing Home in Middlefield, Ohio. Mary was born on July 1, 1922 in Brimfield, Ohio the daughter of the late Raymond and Lydia (Folk) Darrah. A lifetime Ravenna area resident, she worked at Twin Coach in Kent during World War II and then at the Hattie Larlham Foundation for over 20 years in the laundry service department. Mary enjoyed camping and was a member of the Good Sam's Camping Club and Road Runner Campers. Mary enjoyed being with people and for several years was employed at the Brass Rail and Buckeye Bar in Ravenna where her fun loving personality made all customers feel welcome. Survivors include her daughter Mary (Stephen) Sharish of Ravenna, sons Ronald (Arlene) Stone of Garrettsville, Fredrick (Theresa) Stone of Mineral Ridge and Walter "Mike" (Anita) Stone of Paris Twp., as well as 10 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Walter C. Stone in 1990. Funeral services will be Friday February 4, 2011 1:00 P.M. at the Green Family Funeral Home & Crematory Service in Mantua, where visitation will be from 12:30 P.M. until the time of services. Mary will be laid to rest at Restland Cemetery in Brimfield.
