Maryann Fonseca's Obituary
FREEDOM TWP.Maryann Fonseca, 66 years of age, passed away Sunday March 25, 2012 at Robinson Memorial Hospital in Ravenna, Ohio. Born in Cleveland, Ohio on May 5, 1945, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Nicoline (Trimarco) Rizzo. A homemaker, Mrs. Fonseca had been a Portage County resident the past 35 years. Formerly of Cleveland, Ohio, she was a member of St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church in Cleveland. A very gifted lady, she had written and published 3 books consisting of political satire. She enjoyed swimming, going to the spa and her sense of humor provided the opportunity by dressing up in crazy outfits to bring laughter to her family and friends. She also will be remembered for always helping others, including taking total strangers into her heart and guiding them back on their feet and in positive directions. Survivors include her children Ronald (Marcia) Fonseca of Englewood, Florida, Mario (Katie) Fonseca of Shalersville, Tina (Bruce) Jira of Twinsburg, Terrie Fonseca of Freedom Township and Maxine (Allen) Bish of Kent, Ohio, her siblings Josephine Rizzo of Shalersville and Sister Theresa Rizzo of Dayton, Ohio, as well as 7 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. Calling hours will be Thursday from 6:00 P.M.-8:00 P.M. at the Green Family Funeral Home & Crematory Service, State Route 44 at the corner of Pioneer Trail (S. of Rt. 422) Mantua. Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday March 30, 2012 9:30 A.M. at St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church, 3785 Independence Rd. at the corner of Fleet Avenue, Cleveland, Ohio with Rev.Fr. Robert Jasany officiating. Final resting place will follow at Calvary Cemetery, Cleveland, Ohio.
