Mel "Trouble" Craven was an excellent mentor to me stepping into the secretary position at CF Eagle's. She tucked me under her wing right from the start of my membership and trained me as her assistant for a year before handing me the reigns. We will miss all of her stories of past days at the club and her updates from District and State gatherings. I personally will miss her as a friend and mentor.
We send our Condolences to the family for our dear departed Eagle Sister Mary Ellen. You will always be remembered. Thanks for all you did for the Fraternal Order Of Eagles.
Mel has always had and will always have a special place in my heart ... as kind of a Lady as I have known and would always be helpful when I needed her help and even helpful when I did not need help ... a very special person and happy to have known this fine Lady and some of her Family as well ...
Maryellen was so very kind to me. She personally reminded me of the 'dues date' and made sure I always got my card. She was simply a sweetheart and is ,surely, a welcomed angel in heaven.
Thoughts & prayers to Mel’s family. She was a wonderful lady and truly missed.
Mel was the greatest Eagle Sister I could ever known in my 13 years I have known her. I considered her like a second mother. Her & among others are the reason I decided to join District #21 & continue my future hard work towards the State level. She was always there when you needed advice, to help those in need, never questioning anything. I am going to miss her making our yearly pin patches, they were always a hit. May God keep you close & until we meet again, may you R.I.P.
