MANTUA-SHALERSVILLE
Maxwell T. Osborne, Jr., 83 years of age, passed away Thursday, December 2, 2021 at his residence. Born in Chattaroy, West Virginia on October 27, 1938, he was the son of the late Maxwell T. and Helen (Musick) Osborne, Sr. Mr. Osborne had been an area resident the past 45 years, and following his graduation from Kent State University with a degree in Physics in 1997, he then taught at K.S.U. for over 5 years. He served with honor during the Korean Conflict in the U.S. Navy. He enjoyed woodworking in his spare time, and was the author of a book on 7 Ideas That Shook the Universe. He was preceded in death on February 9, 2010 by his wife Nicole Osborne. Survivors include his children, Brian (Megan) Osborne of Connecticut, Michael Osborne of Mantua, and Dorian Osborne of Columbus. His grandchildren, Hanna, Carter, Nikki, Zack, Josh, Cody, and 3 great-grandchildren also survive. His longtime companion Dorothy Murton at home also survives. No calling hours or services. Cremation has been held. Arrangements are by the Green Family Funeral Home & Crematory Service in Mantua, where condolences and memories may be viewed at www.grenfamilyfuneralhome.com.
