I have just now found this information out while I was trying to locate some of my brothers in arms. Merle was a hell of a great Sgt and I was honored to have been able to not only serve with him, but get to know his family that was with him at the time in 1986. Rest in Peace My Brother!
I worked with Merle close to 10 years. He bailed me out of several situations.
Until we meet again, my beautiful brother, I love you and miss you beyond all description. Please know that.
I am very saddened by the loss. He will be missed. I always enjoyed his company, what a awesome musician. Love always.
