KENT-RAVENNA
Michael Dunkerton, 66 years of age of Kent, passed away Wednesday, December 29, 2021 at the Cleveland Clinic Hospital, Cleveland, Ohio. Born in Ravenna, Ohio on January 15, 1955, he was the son of the late Herbert and Florence (Galer) Dunkerton. A resident of Kent the past 21 years, he had recently moved back to Mantua, where he grew up, and was a 1973 graduate of Crestwood High School. Michael had been employed as an auto body technician at Crash Champion, LLC in Streetsboro , formerly Excalibur Collision, Inc. for 10 years. He enjoyed restoring, and refinishing cars, going to car shows, and drag racing at Summit Racing in Norwalk. He found an interest in gardening along with his wife Andrea, and was a true animal lover of both cats and dogs, sharing time with the Cleveland APL. On July 16, 1983, he married Andrea (Schossler) Dunkerton who survives at their home. Also surviving is his mother-in-law Barbara Warner of Stow, brother-in-law John (Missy) Schossler of Chicago, sister-in-law Julie Schossler of Streetsboro, and his many friends, and animal family members. Graveside funeral services will be held Tuesday, January 4, 2022, 11:00 A.M. at Hillside Cemetery, Mantua Village,with Pastor Chad Delaney officiating.
