Michael William Tolar Sr.'s Obituary
Michael William Tolar Sr. has been welcomed into the hands of our Lord in Heaven. Born October 15, 1964, in Boston MA. to the late Michael Reese Tolar and Lois Elaine (McAnulty). Early in life the family moved to Southfork PA. where they resided with Dwayne and Hazel, Lois’ parents until ultimately settling in Wilmore Hts. PA.
Mike was a 1983 graduate of Johnstown Vo-Tech, where he studied general industries prior to moving into the workforce. He and his bride Betty Jo (Overman) soon moved to Ohio to take a great position at Service-Tech in 1985, an industrial cleaning corporation. He presided there for 36 years as a Head Foreman. Building their life in Mantua, Ohio, Mike and Betty Jo had a son, Michael W. Tolar Jr. and daughter Jessica M. Tolar, both graduates of Crestwood High School. He loved to have fun, ride dirt bikes, go fishing, listen to music and hang out with his friends and family. Mike was kind-hearted and would do anything for you, if you were honest. He would always speak his mind and stand up for his family and what was right. The person you would always want on your side but never crossing. His son made him a proud grandfather in 2005 with the addition of Michael W. Tolar III to the brood. His pride to continue the legacy of his name. Jessica and her husband Phillip Marsh graced him with another grandson, Phillip Marsh Jr. (PJ) in 2008.
Michael was proceeded in his entrance to Heaven by his grandparents, parents, brother Gary R. Tolar and best friend David Fogle. Keeping his memory alive are his wife of 38 years Betty Jo, brother James Tolar, Christopher Tolar, and sister Michelle Tolar, son, Michael, daughter, Jessica (Phil), grandsons, Michael and Phillip. Always in his thoughts and prayers were his brother in laws, Albert (Lynn), Danny (Cindy), Ronald (Sharon) and all his nieces and nephews, near and far.
