Nancy Brucker's Obituary
HIRAM Nancy C. Brucker, 72 years of age, passed away Tuesday December 15, 2009 at her residence. Born in Cleveland, Ohio on June 22, 1937, she was the daughter of the late William H. and Ruth (Gianantonio) Bell. A resident of Hiram the past 9 years, she was formerly of Aurora. Nancy was employed for over 30 years as a cake decorator for Hough Bakery in Cleveland until her retirement. She was a member of the Mantua Center Christian Church. Nancy was proficient in wood carving, enjoyed painting with oil and water colors which included the use of animals in many of her works and spending time gardening. Nancy will be remembered for her appreciation of colorful clothing, her smile and spirit. On August 3, 1985, she married Stephen F. Brucker, who preceded her in death on September 26, 2006. Also preceding her was her son Michael McSwain in 1983. Survivors include her children Gary (Denise) McSwain of Hiram, Douglas (Peg) McSwain of Mantua, Daniel Brucker of Geneva, Ohio, Donald Brucker of Atlanta, Georgia and Jeffrey Brucker of Mogadore; her sister Barbara ( John) Lopetrone of Alaska; 4 grandchildren her former husband Rudy McSwain of Georgia and her loving feline family. Calling hours will be Friday from 6:00 P.M.-8:00 P.M. at the Green Family Funeral Home & Crematory Service in Mantua. Funeral services for Nancy will be Saturday December 19, 2009 at 11:00 A.M. at the Mantua Center Christian Church, 4118 St. Rt. 82 with Rev. Chad Delaney officiating. Nancy will be laid to rest at Westlawn Cemetery in Mantua Township. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the Hospice of Robinson Memorial Hospital or the American Cancer Society.
