Norbert J. Gorny's Obituary
HIRAM - Norbert "Skip" Gorny, 79, of Hiram, Ohio entered into heaven on May 6, 2009. He was born on March 27, 1930 in Erie, PA and was the son of Stanley and Helen Gorny. He graduated from Cathedral Preparatory and Gannon University and served in the United States Navy. He was a CPA for Ernst and Ernst, Cook United, and Rick Case Honda and retired from Crusader Office Products. He lived in Willoughby for 13 years, Aurora for 17 years and then Hiram for 24 years. Norbert enjoyed many hobbies which included gardening, reading, motorcycles and fishing. During his retirement years he had a Christmas Tree Farm which the whole family enjoyed. He liked to travel and was an active member of the Aurora Seniors. He will be remembered for his jovial outlook and friendly disposition. He was preceded in death by his wife, Dolores in 1998 and is survived by his daughters and their families, Judy (Bill) Schuhle, Andrew and Alex of Hinckley, OH, Kathy (Dave) Grumney, Ellen, Dan, and Kelly of Medina,OH, Nancy (Dave) Brehm, Laura Brehm, Julie and her husband, John Foley of Powell, OH. Funeral services will be Saturday, May 9, 2009 at 12:30 P.M. at the Green Family Funeral Home and Crematory Service in Mantua, Ohio with Rev. Fr. Michael Garvey officiating. Visitation will be from 11:00 A.M. until the time of service. Private inurnment will take place at Westlawn Cemetery, Mantua Township at a later date.
