MANTUA
Norma Jean Davis, 85 years of age, passed away Friday February 7, 2020. Born in Harriettsville, Ohio on January 9, 1935, she was the daughter of the late Lawrence and Mildred (Zimmerman) Baker. She had been a resident of Mantua since 1964, and had been employed at Paeco Rubber. She was a longtime poll worker for the Portage County Board of Elections. She will be remembered for her knitting, quilting, as well as the camping and country music that she and her husband enjoyed together. Norma also was very generous in sharing her time by making lap quilts for people in the hospital or bed ridden. On April 3, 1954, she married Harry A. Davis, Sr. who preceded her in death in 2007. Also preceding was her son Harry A. Davis, Jr. in 1999, and her brother Gene Baker. Norma is survived by her sons Jerry M. Davis of Mantua and Perry E. (Mary) Davis of Stow, Ohio, and her daughter Sandra J. (Preston L.) Wegman of Streetsboro. Her grandchildren Brianne, Sarah and Makayla also survive. Calling hours will be Wednesday from 6:00 P.M.-8:00 P.M. at the Green Family Funeral Home & Crematory, 4668 Pioneer Trail at the corner of St. Rt. 44, Mantua, Ohio 44255, where her funeral service will be Thursday February 13, 2020 at 11:00 A.M. Officiating will be Pastor Robert Henderson of Lord of Life Lutheran Church in Bainbridge. Final resting place will then follow at Hillside Cemetery, Mantua Village, Ohio.
