Opal M. Harris' Obituary
SHALERSVILLEOpal M. Harris, 84 years of age, passed away Friday May 23, 2014 at Longmeadow Care Center in Ravenna, Ohio. Mrs. Harris was born on August 22, 1929 in Weston, West Virginia the daughter of the late Sherman and Flora (Butcher) Bean. A homemaker, she had resided in the Shalersville area the past 50 years. A devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister, family was to Mrs. Harris the most important part of her life. On February 22, 1947, she married Eugene Harris who survives at their home. Also surviving are her children Debbie (Benny) Singleton of Ravenna, Nancy (Wayne Bell) Ward and Barbara Browning both of Shalersville and Tammy Lough of Weston, West Virginia, her siblings Herbert Bean, Dick Bean, Betty Brumley, Margaret Bodkins and Jerry Bean all of West Virginia, Bob Bean of Florida and Ellen Cool of Pennsylvania. Also surviving are 8 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her siblings Raymond Bean, Patty Hicks, Larry Bean, Bernard Bean and Madlyn Harper. No calling hours. A graveside funeral service will be held Tuesday May 27, 2014, 11:00 a.m. at Riverside Cemetery in Shalersville Township, Ohio with Pastor Dennis Bradshaw officiating.
