Patricia Ann Cain, 88 years of age, passed away Monday May 3, 2021. Born in Akron, Ohio on November 28, 1932, she was the daughter of the late Elmo and Maybelle (Wise) Jacoby. Mrs. Cain was a lifetime Freedom resident, residing on the family farm for 64 years. A homemaker, she had been a 1951 graduate of Freedom High School. Cooking, caning, and the thousands of recipes she gathered over the years were a significant part of her life, yet her children, and their “Babies” remained the heart of the life of Mrs. Cain. In 1964, Mrs. Cain won an “English Ford” automobile filled with groceries from Layers Grocery Store which was a highlight of her life. On April 14, 1951, she married Robert L. Cain who preceded her in death on May 9, 2003. Also preceding were siblings Frank, James, Jack, Murray, Dave, and Clarence Jacoby, Edith, Mary, Gloria and Janice. Her son-in-law Richard Palmer, and daughter-in-law Linda Cain also preceded her. Mrs. Cain is survived by her children James (Deni) Cain of Windham, Timothy (Debbie) Cain and Donald Cain both of Garrettsville, Gary Cain of Trinity, Texas, Matthew (Bonnie) Cain of Warren, Cyndi (Dale) Brookover of Hiram, and Marji Palmer and Trish (Mike) Hoobler both of Freedom. 17 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren, and 8 great-great grandchildren also survive. Visitation will be Friday May 7, 2021 at the Green Family Funeral Home & Crematory Service, 4668 Pioneer Trail at the corner of St. Rt. 44, Mantua, Ohio 44255 from 11:00 A.M.-12:00 Noon, where her funeral service will then begin at Noon. ( Facial Coverings And Social Distancing Will Be Observed). Final resting place will then follow at Drakesburg Cemetery, Freedom Township, Ohio.
