Patsy Lou Reid's Obituary
Patsy Lou Reid (Wills-Mace), 89, of Mantua, Ohio, passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by family and friends on May 7th, 2026.
Patsy was born in Hazy West Virginia, raised in the coal mine camp by her parents Carl and Blanche Mace. She was a devoted daughter and a loving sister to Barbara(Ted) Mosley and Wanda (Bob) Roush.
Patsy was a cherished wife to the late Kyle Reid and a proud and loving mother to Greg (Lisa) Reid, Ladonne (Michael) O'Connell, Michelle (Jimmie) Yeatts, and Wesley (Wendi) Reid. She was a grandmother to Angel, Sandy, Holly, Lauren, Jack, Dane, Alex, Alexis, Lindsey, CJ, Clay, Jake, Kylee, Rian and Kyrstin. She was also a great grandmother to 20, each of whom brought her immense joy.
Patsy opened her own kennel business, boarding, breeding and grooming dogs. She also worked as a seamstress, postmaster, and a longtime real estate agent.
She had a true passion for animals, sewing and baking. In 2013, she was awarded the grand prize for her famous blueberry pie. While her talents were many, Patsy's greatest joy in life was her family.
Anyone who had the pleasure of knowing Patsy loved her for her warmth, kindness, and selflessness. Her grandchildren often referred to her as a saint and a simple woman- a reflection of the gentle grace, pure heart and quiet strength she carried effortlessly. She was truly something special and will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Patsy was preceded in death by her parents Carl and Blanche Mace, her sister Barbara Mosley, and her beloved husband, Kyle Reid.
Family and friends may gather for visitation at Green Funeral Care, 4668 Pioneer Trail, Mantua, Ohio, on Friday May 15th from 11:00am.- 1:00pm., immediately followed by a funeral service at 1pm. Patsy will be laid to rest at Fairview Cemetery in Hiram, Ohio.
