Paul Kevin Bukas' Obituary
HIRAM Paul Kevin Bukas, 54 years of age, became Our Gift to God on Thursday February 3, 2011 at his residence. Mr. Bukas was God's Gift to Us on July 4, 1956 in Meshoppen, Pennsylvania the son of the late Joseph and Isabel (Wierbowski) Bukas. A former longtime Maple Hts., resident, he had resided in the Hiram area since 1992. Mr. Bukas was the owner-operator of North Coast Tape & Label in Bedford Hts., a company he started in 1981. He was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Mantua. Mr. Bukas was an avid golfer, and also enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening and had restored his Mustang convertible. As a grandfather known as "Pops" he found special pleasure in the times spent with his loving grandchildren. On September 29, 1976, he married Debra (Drage) Bukas who survives at their home. Also surviving are his children Amy (Todd) Eldridge of North Ridgeville, Rachel (Steve) Ittel of Garrettsville, Sarah Bukas of Chicago, Illinois and Kelly (J.R.McCoy) Bukas of Nashville, Tennessee, his sisters Jean (Don) Gorski of Sayre, Pennsylvania, Joanne (Ed) Stevens of Towanda, Pennsylvania, MaryLou (Joseph) Gajdowski of Sagertown, Pennsylvania, his brother Joseph (Barb) Bukas of Cleveland and his grandchildren Madeline and Mallory Eldridge. He was preceded in death by his sister Patricia Bukas. Calling hours will be Monday 2:00 P.M.-4:00 P.M. and 6:00 P.M.-8:00 P.M. at the Green Family Funeral Home & Crematory Service in Mantua, where prayers will be said Tuesday at 9:15 A.M. Mass of Christian Burial will be Tuesday February 8, 2011 10:00 A.M. at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Mantua. Mr. Bukas will then be laid to rest at Fairview Cemetery in Hiram, Ohio.
