Pauline Mae May's Obituary
MANTUA-AURORA Pauline Mae May, 81 years of age, passed away Wednesday May 8, 2013 at Longmeadow Care Center in Ravenna, Ohio. Born on the family farm in Aurora, Ohio on May 17, 1931, Pauline was the daughter of the late Howard and Emilie (Vogel) Spaeth, Sr. A longtime resident of Aurora, she was a graduate of Aurora High School, moving to the Mantua area in 1957. She was employed as a secretary for Alltel Telephone Company from where she retired. Pauline was a member of the Aurora Mennonite Church and for many years was a very active member of Aurora Chapter Order of Eastern Star. Her family and friends will always remember her enjoyment of going to flea markets, collecting nick-knacks and of her loving smile and cherished times spent with her grandchildren and nieces and nephews. Survivors include her son Michael G. May of Mantua, brother Carl F. Spaeth of Streetsboro, grandchildren Michelle, Andy and Debbie and 4 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her son David C. May in 2001 and her brother Howard W. Spaeth, Jr. Funeral services will be Saturday May 11, 2013 at the Green Family Funeral Home & Crematory Service in Mantua at 12:00 Noon with Elder James Schwartz officiating, where visitation will be held from 10:00 A.M. until service time. Pauline will be laid to rest at Aurora City Cemetery. Her family would like to extend a very special thank you to the staff at Longmeadow Care Center for the loving care provided to Pauline.
