Rebecca "Becky" Chafin's Obituary
GARRETTSVILLE Rebecca L. ?Becky? Chafin, 52 years of age, passed away Monday June 26, 2017 at UH-Portage Medical Center in Ravenna, Ohio. Born in Claridon Township, Ohio on April 27, 1965, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Patsy (Hyde) Loy. A resident of the Garrettsville area the past 20 years, Becky first lived in Auburn Township, following which she was a resident of Chagrin Falls, and was a graduate of Chagrin Falls High School. She had been employed as a secretary at Metropolitan Savings Bank in Bainbridge and then at Venco Industries in Middlefield as office manager. She was an avid sports fan and enjoyed reading, yet she will be forever be remembered for the love she had for her children and grandchildren and their special times together. On June 10, 1995, she married Cecil D. Chafin who survives at their home. Also surviving are her daughters Kara Chafin of Garrettsville, Riley Chafin of Newton Falls and Sydney Chafin at home; brothers Rob (Toby) Loy of Pennsylvania, Chris (Linda) Loy of Florida and Steve Loy of Chagrin Falls; her step-father Kenneth Sprinkle of Chagrin Falls and her loving grandchildren Bentlee and Brooklyn. Visitation will be Saturday July 1, 2017 from 10:00 A.M. to 12:00 Noon at the Green Family Funeral Home & Crematory Service, 4668 Pioneer Trail at the corner of St.Rt. 44, Mantua, Ohio 44255.
